Upcoming Films!


This winter, the Museo is presenting a series of classic Italian films. Each showing is on a Wednesday at 6:30pm and admission is $10. The titles and descriptions are listed below.

February 6 - La Strada
The first Italian Academy Award winner for Best Foreign Film in 1956 by director Federico Fellini, tells the story of gentle Gelsomina (Giuleitta Masina) and bully Campano' (Anthony Quinn).

February 20 - Le Notti Di Cabiria
Cabiria (Giulietta Masina) a prostitute working the streets of Rome, never seems to give up on finding true love.

February 27 - 8 1/2
Exhausted hit director Guido Anselmi (Marcello Mastroianni) retreats into his own fantasies as he searches for inspiration to make his next film.

March 5 - Ieri, Oggi, Domani
Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni team up for a trio of stories about sex in this delightful Italian comedy

March 12 - Il Giardino dei Finzi-Contini
A wealthy Jewish family lives in a castle surrounded by a beautiful garden in the midst of war-torn Italy. Within their garden, they are safe from outside fascist forces. This is the story of how they deal with the oppression of WWII.
